Hi, I’m Julie!
I am Julie Leonard, the creator of Strong Mama 30 and founder of Strong Body Strong Mama!
After having 3 kids in 4 years, I was left feeling weak and with no muscle mass on my body. Through my realisation that my workouts didn’t have to be hour long HIIT workouts that left me exhausted, I started showing up consistently for 30 min strength workouts a few times a week. Following a smart strength-training plan got me back to feeling strong and resilient.
I am a movement expert with a Master’s degree in Exercise Science, a Pre/Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist certification, and a handful of continued education courses around core & pelvic health under my belt. I have helped 1000s of moms safely get back into exercise after kids, get strong + build muslcles, and support their core & pelvic floor.
I created an effective and intentonial strength + muscle buiding program that takes into consideration the needs of a busy mom: quick + effective workouts, supportive of core & pelvic floor, and can be done at home.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Strong Mama 30 for?
You are a busy mom who is ready to build strength and muscles and take care of YOU this summer! You don’t have time for hour long workouts OR you want to enjoy more of the Holidays but still get some strength and muscle gains! This program is great for moms at least 3+ months postpartum all the way to post menopause.
Building strength and muscles is even more important if you are a mom over 35!
What equipment do I need to complete the workouts?
The workouts are designed to be completed at home or the gym with minimal equipment. Ideally, you should have access to at least 3 sets of dumbbells (light, medium, and heavy) so you can progress your weights as you go. A flat bench would also be helpful for some of the exercises but you could also use an ottoman or couch. You will need resitance bands with handles as well as a yoga block. A few of the exercises use exercise wedges to elevate the heels but you could also use a thick book instead.
If you don’t have 3 sets of dumbbells, see about ordering some on Amazon or borrowing a set from a friend. In order to build strength and muscles, you will need to challenge your body with progressing your weights.
How long will I have access to the program?
You will have access to the program and the True Coach App for 12 weeks plus an additional 2 weeks at the end in case you fell behind. You will choose your start date to be within a month of the purchase date. Your 14 weeks of access starts on your “start date”.
What format do the workouts come in?
All the workouts are delivered through a mobile coaching app called True Coach. You can access the App on your phone or on your computer. Each workout has video demos of every single exercise with coaching tips and cues.
There is also a downloadable Welcome Packet with all the information you need to know about the program including some educational content.
Can I workout on different days then when the workouts are programmed in the App?
Even though the workouts are assigned to Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday each week in the True Coach App, you can complete the workouts whenever it is convenient for you.
I'm a beginner and/or I haven't been consistent with weight training. Can I still do this program?
Some modifications are given throughout the program for more challenging exercises to accomodate different experience levels. Expect some soreness in the beginning if you haven’t been lifting consistently. If you follow the instructions, sets, reps, and rest periods, and slowly progress your weights following the recommended RPE (Rate Of Perceived Exertion), you should be just fine!
Are the workouts safe for pelvic floor conditions or Diastasis Recti?
Strong Mama 30 is a strength based program that takes a whole body approach to getting stronger. While the focus of this program isn’t to heal your core and pelvic floor, it is filled with exercises that will help support your body from the inside and out. All the cueing and tips inside the exercise videos take your core & pelvic floor into consideration. Building whole-body strength is an important step in strenghtening your core and pelvic floor.
How long do the workouts take from start to finish?
I know you’re a busy mom?! This is why I have designed each the workouts to take about 30 minutes from start to finish. I have chosen exercises that will give you the most bang for your buck so you can be efficient and get the results that you want in the shortest amount of time.
